In the words of Lim Arthon, a second-year Yayasan Sime Darby-sponsored student said, "The name I carry is Sime Darby Healthcare, with its JCI-accredited Sime Darby Medical Centre Subang Jaya (SDMCSJ). The dedicated tutors and clinical instructors as well as practical training provided at SDMCSJ has proven to be the main factor in my good grades and thus being able to obtain a scholarship from Yayasan Sime Darby."
Students gain confidence not only because of the academic approach and the dedicated faculty but also because of the clinical practice given to the students with the state-of-the-art medical facilities and technology available at SDMCSJ.
SDMCSJ is one of the few Malaysian hospitals that, apart from the many accolades and awards earned over the past 25 years, has also met international healthcare quality standards by achieving accreditation from the joint Commission International (JCl), the worldwide leader in improving the quality of healthcare.
"A well-designed curriculum, coupled with a committed team of academic staff who care for the students, has allowed our students to understand and internalize the intricacies of the subject.
"The conducive environment and supporting facilities fuel this thirst for knowledge," says Sime Darby College chief executive Shanaz Mawji.
"I learned a lot during my course at Sime Darby College. The tutors and the clinical instructors were also very knowledgeable and helpful in teaching and guiding me during my practical training at SDMCSJ," says Nurul Zaiamy, who recently sat for her Malaysia Nursing Board registration exams.
